Acquiring more, no matter how cheaply, is moving in the wrong direction.Īs always, patience is the way and these new compressors may have to wait several releases until they can be purchased along with some others of the newest shiniest UAD offerings, as part of a 3 for 299 bundle deal. Plug-in collections contain the newer versions of the plug-in (s) as well as the Legacy version (s).

That’s true and would be a great price if I wanted them, but £224 is too much to pay for the new 175b/176 compressors, and my problem (one of many psychological ones) is that I have too many UAD plugins that I don’t use, and can’t easily sell due to UA’s policies. Universal Audio have made a selection of their native emulation plug-ins individually available for both Mac and Windows and have announced three new software bundles. If there was a purchase option taking into account my previous purchases I would probably buy the bundle instantly and I’d guess so would a ton of longtime loyal UAD customers. I also have the bizarre zero plugins for 99 offer still being made available to me. I also did not have Oxide and Century, which I am almost guaranteed never to use, but it is still a great deal. 179 less a 50 coupon was 129 for four plugins, including the 175/6 and the V76.

Of course, one might say “but, given that you would have to pay £224 for the new compressors, that would mean you would get 7 plugins for £77”. I have already purchased somewhere around 100 + plugins from UA. I had most of the plugins on the list, so for me it was a no brainer. Of the 31 plugins in the complete bundle, I own 23 the remaining 8 would cost me £301. I can’t say I find the heritage bundle completion offer very compelling, given that it contains all the plugins I was never interested in buying in the first place (excepting of course the new 175b/176 compressors).
